AT&T resolves Facebook access problems
AT&T said it has resolved network issues that resulted in some users logging into the wrong Facebook account via their mobile handset. Over the weekend, the Associated Press reported an Atlanta-area mother and her daughters seeking to update their Facebook accounts instead found themselves logged into strangers' social media profiles, a problem the operator blamed on server issues. "In a limited number of instances, a server software connectivity error resulted in some AT&T wireless customers being logged in to the wrong Facebook account when they accessed Facebook through their mobile phones," AT&T spokesman Michael Coe in a statement.
AT&T has added new security measures to prevent the problem from recurring, noting it collaborated with Facebook to disable subscriber identification information as an option for automatic log-on. "We don't have anything more than what AT&T is saying," the social media giant told CNet.
