Thumbplay Music launches on iPhone
Mobile entertainment destination Thumbplay announced its cloud-based Thumbplay Music subscription service is now available via Apple's App Store, becoming the first on-demand subscription effort available across the iPhone, Android and BlackBerry smartphone platforms. Launched in beta in January 2010, Thumbplay Music (priced at $9.99 per month) promises unlimited, on-demand access to over 9 million tracks licensed from all four major labels as well as more than 35,000 independent labels--the solution features its own in-app media player, offers auto-sync between smartphones and PCs/Macs, and enables users to build personal music collection including playlists and favorites lists. In addition, offline music access is available to BlackBerry users--Thumbplay adds the feature is in the pipeline for iPhone and Android.
