Tiger Woods tees up mobile website
The Masters begins Thursday--perfect time for Tiger Woods to go mobile. TigerWoods.com, the golfer's official website announced an exclusive agreement with MLB Advanced Media (the interactive media and Internet arm of Major League Baseball) to create and distribute Tiger Woods-themed mobile content. Per terms of the deal, MLBAM will develop, host and operate the new Tiger Woods mobile WAP site as well as create related ringtones, wallpapers, photos, video clips and messages, trivia and fantasy games. The WAP site will also offer live scoring updates, leaderboards and news, schedules and pro tips. Sports and entertainment firm IMG Media, which hosts and operates the TigerWoods.com website, will administrate the WAP site's advertising and sponsorships.

I cannot tell you how pleased I am that Tiger lost the Masters to someone who actually plays golf. An avid fan of Tiger, I've been increasingly dismayed by his inactivity on the Tour. When he returns to being a golfer rather than a prima donna, he'll have my support again, win or lose.
