TiVo launches on BlackBerry App World

Digital video recording giant TiVo introduced a new mobile application optimized for Research In Motion's BlackBerry smartphones and available for free via the BlackBerry App World virtual storefront. TiVo for BlackBerry Smartphones promises users remote access to television channel listings to enable on-the-go content programming, complete with a look and feel evoking the traditional TiVo user interface. BlackBerry users can browse upcoming broadcasts according to category, title, actor/director or keyword, with TiVo supplying lists of most popular shows and daily picks--in addition, the app includes a calendar function to remind viewers when a favorite show is airing.
