Tracebit, Pinjata partner for kiddie content

Tools

Mobile game developer Tracebit announced an agreement to sell and distribute family-friendly titles developed by game production firm Pinjata. Per terms of the deal, Tracebit will distribute licensed Pinjata games--dubbed "politically correct and educational" in the accompanying press release--across its network of operator, reseller and service provider partners; the two firms will split resulting revenues 50/50.

Tracebit said it is actively pursuing the growing mobile youth market. "It's not just that the numbers are growing--these children are spending money," said Simon Adahl, CMO of Tracebit parent company MobileMail, in a prepared statement. "We are already seeing companies producing mobile phones specifically for children such as the FireFly and Buddy Bear handset in order to tap in to this lucrative market."
