Trend: "Dial-up" for mobile content

Tools

Some of the marketing people from the wildly successful Live Nation concert series and veteran artist manager Marty Erlichman have a launched a new company called Listen Live Now, which enables mobile and landline callers to "phone in" for music and other audible content. Creative Artists Agency is one of the company's backers and Single Touch's technology powers it. Cingular has inked the initial deal with the company to bring a Rolling Stones concert to those that can't be there themselves. While specifics of the rev share have not been disclosed, the Rolling Stones will get an unspecified "piece of the action." The Stones, however, will only let you listen to 14 minutes of their concert, for fear no one will show up in person, apparently. According to Single Touch, FOX News and CNN programming are next up for listeners.
