TV Guide turns on iPhone app

TVGuide.com announced the launch of a free iPhone and iPod touch application featuring television listings and entertainment news. Developed in partnership with mobile broadcast software provider Roundbox, TV Guide Mobile promises efficient access to channel listings, episode recaps and showbiz dish--users can browse listings by time to see what's on for up to 14 days in advance, or search by show name, cast member or episode title.

According to TV Guide, its website now reaches more than 20 million unique visitors per month--users average five visits per month, 13 minutes per visit and 18 page views per person. In addition, 50 percent of TVGuide.com visitors are under 35 years old, and 29 percent earn a household income of more than $100k a year.
