U.S. Cellular taps 2ergo to manage mobile marketing efforts

Mobile business and marketing solutions firm 2ergo has signed an agreement with U.S. Cellular to provide the regional operator with mobile marketing consulting, project management and creative services. Per terms of the deal, 2ergo will spearhead direct marketing efforts targeting U.S. Cellular's 6.1 million customers while collaborating with the carrier's events and sponsorships marketing team to develop, execute and analyze results-oriented mobile campaigns leveraging 2ergo's SMS and MMS programs, mobile website and mobile voucher platforms. 2ergo will additionally provide project management, QA and tech support.

According to U.S. Cellular, the 2ergo partnership heralds a new marketing channel to communicate with new and existing customers via mobile device. The carrier said it will emphasize personalized, interactive campaigns designed to foster brand loyalty.

Launched in 1999, 2ergo's international presence now spans across North America, Latin America, India and Australia. Alongside U.S. Cellular, 2ergo partners past and present include ESPN, Fox Sports, Orange, O2 and Procter & Gamble.
