Verizon bundles apps and data for $10 per month

Tools

Verizon Wireless (NYSE:VZ) introduced a new value pack promotion that gives feature phone subscribers access to 75 MB of data use for $10 per month. According to Verizon, Value Pack customers can browse the mobile web, interact across social networks and download games and apps--in addition to the data allowance, the package also touts monthly subscriptions to Mobile Email, the turn-by-turn VZ Navigator app and Ringback Tones enabling customers to customize the music that callers hear while waiting for them to answer. Individual ringback tones are priced at $1.99 for one year.

Verizon Wireless states that subscribers can save over $10 a month by selecting the new Value Pack compared to the cost of individual subscriptions. The operator adds that the offer is available for a limited time--feature phone customers with existing data packages can move to the Value Pack at any time via the My Verizon customer portal.
