Verizon, Buongiorno partner for VZW Pix Unlimited

Mobile software and services provider Buongiorno introduced VZW Pix Unlimited via Verizon Wireless' (NYSE:VZ) Get It Now portal, offering subscribers unlimited wallpaper downloads for $3.99 per month. According to Buongiorno, the VZW Pix Unlimited catalog encompasses more than 55,000 different wallpapers, with subject matter ranging from celebrities to animals to landscapes--content is regularly updated and includes art created especially for phones as well as special seasonal images. Verizon subscribers may also customize their wallpapers by writing and overlaying their own text.

VZW Pix Unlimited is effectively an all-you-can-eat update of VZW Pix, which Buongiorno and Verizon Wireless first introduced four years ago--available on over 120 different handset models, the app has generated more than 6 million wallpaper downloads. VZW Pix offers wallpapers in exchange for credits purchased by subscribers; Verizon said it plans to offer both VZW Pix and VZW Pix Unlimited for the foreseeable future.
