Verizon premieres Crackle Movies subscription service on V Cast Video
Verizon Wireless (NYSE:VZ) added Sony Pictures Television's Crackle Movies subscription service to its V Cast Video solution, promising subscribers mobile access to Sony catalog titles including Easy Rider, The Cable Guy and La Bamba. Priced at $5.99 per month (in addition to the $10 monthly V Cast Video on Demand charge), Crackle Movies offers 19 feature films at launch, promising a refresh of two new titles a week, giving Verizon subscribers their pick of at least 25 movies per month.
Verizon Wireless will offer Crackle Movies across all V Cast-enabled handsets as well as select BlackBerry and Android smartphones. Subscribers may also access premium content including Crackle Originals (a collection of web series) and Minisodes, which whittle down episodes of classic Sony television hits.
