Verizon Wireless debuts Music Manager
Verizon Wireless announced the debut of Music Manager, a free software download enabling V Cast Music subscribers to play tracks directly from an audio CD on their PCs. Promising customers simplified management and playback of digital music libraries, Music Manager features four user-interface tabs: "V CAST Buy Music" (a direct link to the V CAST Music Store); "Music on My PC" (a listing of all music in the Music Manager library that resides on the customer's PC); "Music on My Phone" (a display of all files on the customer's phone when connected to the PC), and "Music on My CD" (a list of music from any audio CD inserted in the PC).
In addition, Music Manager includes the following new features:
- Import unprotected .aac files
- Automatically convert unprotected .aac files to .wma files during sync
- Rip, burn and add music with fewer steps
- Import playlists from Windows Media Player
- Sort music by songs or albums
- Manage duplicate song files
- Sync music to the PC with fewer steps
- Print "Show Me How" screens
Developed in conjunction with Smith Micro Software, Inc., Music Manager is compatible with Windows XP and Vista PCs and all V Cast Music-enabled phones.
