Verizon Wireless goes to the "Prom"

Tools

Verizon Wireless announced an agreement with Vuguru, the new media studio headed by former Walt Disney Co. CEO Michael Eisner, to distribute its debut production "Prom Queen" on all Verizon platforms including mobile. The carrier's V Cast network is the exclusive mobile platform for the program, a serialized high school mystery running 80 episodes, each 90 seconds in length, created directly for the wireless and broadband channels. "'Prom Queen's short-form episodes are designed to be easily viewed on multiple platforms and are aimed at young, early adopters of new media content and technology," Eisner said in a prepared statement. "We further empower the audience by providing them the ability to watch 'Prom Queen' whenever and wherever they want."
