Verizon Wireless marches to the Social Beat

Tools

Verizon Wireless announced an agreement with mobile web services provider iSkoot to launch Social Beat, a free social media aggregator application that promises to simplify access to popular sites including Facebook, Twitter and MySpace. According to Verizon, Social Beat enables subscribers to more effectively manage their social networks via live feeds and real-time notifications--users can view friends' activities and photos as well as post new status updates, tweets, comments and messages. In addition, the Social eat app displays more than 50 customer-selected feeds from news, sports and entertainment sources, all of which can be viewed in one central location.

The free Social Beat application is now available across more than 20 feature phones including the LG enV, enV2, enV3 and the LG Chocolate and Chocolate 3.
