UpNext HD Maps (available for download via Android Market) features interactive, 3D views and details on roads, road signs and building directories across dozens of U.S. cities, enabling travelers to find their way to nearby locations and search for recreational activities, dining options and nightlife possibilities. UpNext HD Maps also features deals from area retailers and restaurants, bolstered by reviews from consumer websites including Yelp.
Verizon Wireless adds that consumers who wish to use their VZ Navigator premium service subscription to access spoken, turn-by-turn directions can transmit information directly from UpNext HD Maps. In January, the operator launched VZ Navigator VX for Android smartphones, delivering 3D navigation views incorporating enhanced 3D city models and true-to-life images of highway and exit signs as well as satellite maps, day/night modes and Facebook integration.
