Verizon Wireless, Univision partner for World Cup
Just when you thought every MoCo angle of the World Cup had been covered, Verizon Wireless shakes out a deal with Univision for exclusive rights to Spanish-language mobile video clips, recaps and highlights from the games. VCast subscribers will have access to the content from June 9 to July 9. Verizon plans to upload clips of goals and other key action to make it available within 30 minutes after halftime and again at the end of the match. Customers will also be able to watch a recap of the match within an hour of the end. Die hard fans can get pumped for the upcoming match by checking out clips from the 2002 World Cup, now available from VCast.
