Verizon Wireless unwraps holiday playlists

Verizon Wireless announced the launch of Holiday Playlists and Holiday Jukeboxes, a pair of new mobile music efforts promising subscribers ringtones and ringbacks geared for the Christmas and New Year's season. Holiday Playlists, a featured category in the VZW Tones mobile portal, offers consumers ringtones and ringbacks in a variety of genres spanning traditional seasonal favorites to contemporary Latin, R&B and country interpretations--other playlists include Animal Holiday, Disney Holiday, Best of 2008, New Year's Party Hits, New Year's Resolutions and South Park Christmas. Holiday Jukeboxes offers Verizon subscribers pre-programmed holiday ringbacks featuring three, five or seven popular seasonal anthems--the tones may be saved as a default jukebox, with a different ringback playing each time someone calls.
