Verve Wireless acquires mobile ad firm Deconstruct Media
Mobile publishing and advertising solutions provider Verve Wireless has acquired mobile ad technology startup Deconstruct Media. Financial terms were not disclosed. Deconstruct--founded by former Advertising.com product and engineering executives--provides publishers with an automated mobile display advertising system for managing ad sales and offering inventory via self-service interface; the solution also enables marketers to review available advertising opportunities and purchase campaigns directly using a credit card, complete with pricing, targeting, creative management and reporting management tools. Verve will integrate the Deconstruct system into its Ad Manager platform--in addition, Deconstruct Media founder and CEO Brent Halliburton will sign on as vice president of product management.
Verve Wireless offers news and targeted advertising distribution and management tools optimized for local publishers, with solutions spanning across mobile platforms including iPhone and Android; more than 750 media companies worldwide leverage the Verve Connect premium local ad network. In September 2010, Verve Wireless closed a $7 million financing round led by BlueRun Ventures, with previous investor The Associated Press also participating; last month, the firm named Tom MacIsaac as CEO, with co-founder and previous chief executive Art Howe remaining as chairman of its board.
