Mobile publishing technology provider Verve Wireless announced new partnerships with Media News Group, A.H. Belo Corporation, Hearst Corporation, and Cox Newspapers to bring local properties like The Denver Post, The Dallas Morning News, Seattle Post-Intelligencer and The Palm Beach Post to the mobile platform. According to Verve, it now mobilizes over 450 local media properties across the top 200 designated market areas in the U.S. and reaches more than three million consumers, serving over 47.5 million page views and delivering more than a million mobile video streams each month.

In addition, Verve introduced new platform enhancements that automatically create a version of the publisher's site optimized for the iPhone's new Safari browser as well as providing mobile video delivery across various smartphones. Verve notes that some publications, including The Orange County Register, see more than 40 percent of their mobile web traffic originate via iPhones.
