Mobile publishing and advertising solutions provider Verve Wireless named Tom MacIsaac as CEO, with co-founder and previous chief executive Art Howe remaining as chairman of the firm's board. MacIsaac most recently served as CEO of IP video platform provider ExtendMedia, acquired by Cisco Systems in the fall of 2010; prior to that, he was CEO of online video advertising startup Lightningcast, acquired by AOL in 2006. MacIsaac will now focus on expanding Verve's local mobile monetization platform and building out its premium local mobile display ad network.

Verve Wireless offers news and targeted advertising distribution and management tools optimized for local publishers, with solutions spanning across mobile platforms including iPhone and Android; more than 750 media companies worldwide leverage the Verve Connect premium local ad network, including McClatchy and Belo Interactive.
