Visa names GSMA vet Gadja to head mobile efforts
Payment and credit solutions giant Visa announced the appointment of Bill Gadja as head of mobile--Gadja currently serves as chief commercial officer with the GSM Association global trade group, which last week hosted its annual Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona. Gadja spent seven years with the GSMA, leading strategic initiatives including the organization's mobile money, mobile advertising, mobile innovation and business development efforts. He will now spearhead Visa's mobile strategy, working in tandem with the wireless and financial services industries to expand mobile payments and related solutions to consumers worldwide. In addition, Gadja will retain his current position as president of the GSM Foundation.
