Vodafone boosts DRM-free offering with Warner content
Six months after signing DRM-free mobile distribution deals with Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment and EMI Music, Vodafone announced a similar agreement with Warner Music, giving subscribers over-the-air access to content from the world's four largest major record labels. According to Vodafone, the Warner deal increases its mobile music catalog to more than one million tracks--subscribers pay just once for content downloaded from Vodafone, and can listen to their music without restriction across all of their media devices. In addition, Vodafone said it will collaborate with Warner to develop a range of mobile music products including value-added album bundles that contain additional multimedia content.
