Volantis, Mobixell team for mobile video solution

Content adaptation solutions provider Volantis and multimedia solutions developer Mobixell announced the completion of a joint mobile video solution. The mobile video platform leverages Mobixell's mobile multimedia production and adaptation suite, extending Volantis' management and delivery services to include intelligent asset transcoding and real-time streaming adaptation of video and audio regardless of format, optimizing the mobile user experience for all types of media regardless of handset and network.  

"With our combined large customer base and technology assets, this partnership between Volantis and Mobixell will enable content providers and operators to offer their subscribers the highest-quality rich media content for every handset and network," said Mobixell CEO Amir Aharoni in a prepared statement. "This will lead to faster introductions of new multimedia services to help increase multimedia content usage and customer satisfaction."
