Vollee scores $4M in Series A funding

Mobile gaming platform developer Vollee announced the close of a $4 million Series A financing round led by BlueRun Ventures. Formerly known as Game Stream, Vollee licenses PC and console titles for 3G devices, promising development and porting turnaround of under four weeks via its patent-pending VolleeX engine. "Vollee's purpose is to fulfill the promise of mobile as a truly ubiquitous gaming device," said CEO Yossi Hasson in a prepared statement. "We recognize that today the cost and time to create deep game experiences on mobile simply does not balance with the quality of the end product. By leveraging the existing assets from game owners and the new 3G capacity of mobile carrier networks, Vollee is leading the way to enabling the most advanced mobile gaming platform in the world."
