Vringo inks global partnership with Sony Ericsson

Video ringtone solutions provider Vringo announced an agreement with handset maker Sony Ericsson, which will pre-link the firm's application on global shipments of its Walkman phones. Sony Ericsson will also promote the Vringo app via its Fun & Downloads portal. The Vringo application (optimized for a variety of Symbian, Java and Windows Mobile devices) enables users to create personalized call signatures based on videos, images and slideshows from multiple sources, including the web as well as the firm's own video ringtone library of more than 4,000 clips. Walkman users can now access Vringo by clicking a link prominently displayed on their phone's browser to download the app and immediately begin sharing video ringtones with their contacts.
