Vringo pictures itself on Java

Mobile applications developer Vringo announced that its shared video ringtone--also dubbed Vringo--is now optimized for phones operating on the Java platform, extending the service onto products manufactured by Sony Ericsson and Motorola. First demoed earlier this year for handsets operating on the Symbian and Windows Mobile platforms, each viral Vringo video clip is sent to a friend's mobile phone--video is available for purchase, free download or shot via subscribers' handsets. According to Vringo, it will release the service for additional Java and Symbian-based handsets in the near future.
