Vringo rings up $12M in Series B

Video ringtone sharing community Vringo announced the close of a $12 million Series B venture round led by global private equity firm Warburg Pincus. According to Vringo, the funding will support its global expansion plans as the company introduces new personalization and content services in the U.S., European and Asian markets. The financing is also earmarked for the formal launch of Vringo's video ringtone sharing application, now in public beta and scheduled for imminent release via Nokia, Motorola, Sony Ericsson and Samsung devices.
