Warner Bros. Interactive to produce 'Sesame Street' games
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced a multi-year exclusive agreement with Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind the long-running Sesame Street franchise, to produce a series of interactive videogame titles spanning across multiple platforms including consoles, PCs and mobile devices. According to Warner Bros. Interactive, the games will offer children both educational and entertaining content featuring popular Sesame Street characters, adding the titles will align with the standards of Sesame Workshop to offer learning experiences developed around particular types of curriculum.
In addition to Sesame Street, which is seen in over 140 countries, Sesame Worksop also produces programming including The Electric Company and Pinky Dinky Doo. The group also creates content for multiple media platforms on issues including literacy, health and military deployment.
