Warner Music inks iPhone gaming deal with Tapulous
Mobile gaming firm Tapulous announced an agreement with Warner Music Group to expand its Tap Tap Revenge franchise via the addition of content from top WMG artists. Per terms of the deal, Tapulous will create and promote four iPhone and iPod touch games over the next year--the premium titles will feature each act's greatest hits as well as bonus remixes, unreleased tracks and live recordings. In addition, Tapulous will sell full-track downloads from the WMG catalog as part of Tap Tap Revenge as well as the new Riddim Ribbon and also introduce an in-game Warner Music Group Channel featuring the label's music catalog and premium games.
Tapulous notes its store has now sold more than 5 million songs, with featured tracks averaging about 500,000 downloads each week. The company adds that Tap Tap Revenge has now been installed by more than 30 percent of iPhone and iPod touch users.
