Wayfinder buys Navicore

Navigation firm Wayfinder is snapping up Finnish navigation operation Navicore. Wayfinder, which has had some success getting its navigation application on Blackberry devices, said its purchase of Navicore will mean the two companies have a combined subscriber base of more than one million. At least 200,000 of those subscribers are paying customers, Wayfinder says.Â
Besides the Blackberry, Wayfinder offers its location apps on platforms such as Java, Symbian, Linux and Microsoft.
