The Weather Channel names Cameron Clayton VP of Mobile
The Weather Channel Interactive named Cameron Clayton as its new vice president of mobile. Clayton replaces longtime Weather Channel mobile VP Louis Gump, who assumes the same title with cable news giant CNN. Clayton will spearhead the meteorological information provider's mobile product portfolio, which includes the much-trafficked Weather Channel mobile website as well as a line of multimedia and messaging offerings and download products including The Weather Channel mobile application for iPhone and iPod touch. He previously served as director of business development at TWCi, where his responsibilities included all distribution relationships for web and mobile, among them partnerships with operators and mobile content aggregators.
