Windows Live Services to launch on BlackBerry

Tools

Microsoft announced a deal to provide its Microsoft Windows Live services via Research In Motion's BlackBerry smartphones, promising an enhanced level of integration between the Windows Live Hotmail free webmail service and the BlackBerry device platform. BlackBerry users may now access Windows Live Hotmail and Windows Live Messenger accounts by entering their Windows Live e-mail address and password once--from there, the device's "push" technology enables automatic message delivery and message synchronization. Features also include a dedicated inbox for Hotmail messages, instant messaging and group chats, contact status and presence, multimedia messaging and support for multiple languages. BlackBerry's Windows Live services are scheduled to launch this summer.
