Wupima reels in Hook Mobile

Wupima, which distributes Chinese mobile content across the North American market, announced its acquisition of viral mobile media developer Hook Mobile. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, although existing Hook Mobile investors including Amplifier Venture Partners are now investors in Wupima. In addition, Wupima said it has raised an unspecified institutional funding total led by Amplifier and DG-Accel China Growth Fund. The new funding is earmarked for business expansion and product development.
