Tools

Consumer survey-based leisure information provider Zagat released its Zagat to Go 4.0 application for Apple's iPhone--created in conjunction with mobile media solutions firm Handmark, the updated app incorporates a number of new features, highlighted by integration with location-based mobile social network Foursquare. Zagat 4.0 for iPhone now offers Foursquare meal tips to diners visiting a Zagat-rated restaurant--users with Foursquare accounts can also check in to any restaurant via the Zagat app. The application also introduces restaurant and meal photos from visual local guide Foodspotting as well as the new Zagat Dining Journal, a virtual diary tracking users' restaurant visits, ratings and reviews. Zagat to Go 4.0 is available in the App Store for $9.99.

Zagat guide information spans restaurants, hotels, nightlife, movies, music, golf, shopping and related consumer categories. Information comes from a worldwide network of surveyor contributors.
