Zed, Lionsgate get 'Instantly Rich'

Mobile entertainment provider Zed announced a partnership with independent film and television studio Lionsgate to develop and launch their multi-platform reality program Instantly Rich in territories including the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Already airing on Spain's Antena 3 television network, Instantly Rich is the first worldwide project to launch as a result of the Zed/Lionsgate content partnership announced in September 2008--the series invites viewers to compete via text messaging for an opportunity to appear as contestants on a future episode, offering a chance to win $1 million each week. Audience members can also vote by SMS or by phone to determine the winner of each episode. In addition to sales to major broadcast, cable and other traditional television outlets, Zed and Lionsgate will sell Instantly Rich to operators for mobile SMS integration.
