App: Comedy Central "Take Out"

Why it's a top app: While there are few content providers better positioned to capitalize on the apparently growing movement to mobile video use than Comedy Central, Nellymoser pushed the content a step further and packaged as Comedy Central "Take Out." Nellymoser outfitted the offering with a slick user interface that struck me as one of the best in the market when I demoed it pre-launch, last spring at CTIA. The highly digestible smorgasbord of mobile snacks has a potential user base of 35 million subscribers. The app fits snugly into Nellymoser's application platform which integrates with carrier and BREW billing systems, allows the carrier to update the catalog in real time and allows the owners to analyze and keep track of users' viewing habits. The video offerings include clips from South Park, The Daily Show and The Colbert Report and olffer an SMS reminder service for upcoming Comedy Central shows. Nellymoser's user interface is second to none.
